Encounters

Posted by Julee Rodriguez on November 9 2005
The first time that I met Michael was a couple years ago when he came with Bravo Broadway to perform with the Utah Symphony. I got to talk to him for a few minutes after the show and he signed my Les Miserables Coffee Table book. He thought it was cool as I have been collecting autographs of anyone that was in the show. I have many Broadway, Tour and London cast performers that have signed my book.

Michael came back again this year with Doug LaBrecque and Susan Egan. Once again I got to talk to Michael after the show and this time I came prepared. I had learned about some TV shows he had been in and we talked about that. It has been a joy to see Michael perform. He has a wonderful sense of humor and of course a wonderful voice. I can't wait for him to come back to Utah and perform for us.

Hugs,
Julee Rodriguez, Salt Lake City, Utah

I met Michael in Winnipeg Manitoba after his performance with Bravo Broadway with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, May 15, 04. He was standing beside the foyer at the Centennial auditorium when my mother and I saw him. We immediately went over to speak to him and get his autograph. He was very charming and nice and would have chatted with us longer had he not been escorted away to a private reception. He is even better looking the closer you get and so tall! The show was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone who has any interest in Broadway musicals.

I have had an encounter with Mr. Michael Maguire. On November 29, 2003, when he performed with the Kansas City Symphony in their production of Bravo Big Band. I am not a big band fan but I did not want to miss the chance to see Michael. The show was excellent. I did enjoy the music. There was another performer there Lynn Roberts (I think that was her name. She was very good too.) After the show Michael and Lynn came out into the lobby and signed autographs. I came prepared and had the CD book that came with the Tenth Anniversary Concert of Les Miserables sound track. Michael's two daughters were there and from what I could tell loving every minute of it. I didn't really get a chance to talk with Michael, he did sign my CD book. He was very nice to everybody who he talked to. I can't wait to see him in concert again.
Thanks
