Peter Polycarpou[Biography] [Pictures] [Links]BiographyPeter Polycarpou was born in Brighton (UK). He started his career as the lead character in the childrens’ opera Sadko and the Fish with Fins of Gold. He has since appeared in theatre productions and musicals all over the UK, including Much Ado About Nothing, Anthony and Cleopatra, South Pacific, Miss Saigon (1989), The Phantom of the Opera (1993), Lonely Hearts (1995), Oklahoma! (1998 - also filmed for TV in 1999), The Secret Garden (2001), Cats (2001-2002) and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2002-2003). In 1985-1986 Peter played Jean Prouvaire in the London production of Les Misérables. In 1986 he played the part of Grantaire, and in 1992-1993 he played Thénardier. At the Les Misérables Tenth Anniversary Concert in 1995, Peter played both Laborer and Jean Prouvaire. He was also in the ensemble of the Les Misérables Complete Symphonic Recording (1988).
