Kurt Ravn was born on December 29, 1947 in Denmark. After theatre school (1970-1973), he went on to have a successful career in music, musicals, theatre, movies and television.
He first became famous in 1978 when he starred in the very popular Danish TV series Matador, and his acting career has continued with a large number of Danish films and TV series. He has also done the Danish voices to animated movies like Aladdin (1992) and The Polar Express (2004)
Kurt's career in musicals includes the parts of Jean Valjean in Les MisÚrables, Che in Evita and Anatolij in Chess. He has also released several albums.
In 1995 Kurt was chosen to represent Denmark at the Les MisÚrables Tenth Anniversary Concert in London as the Danish Jean Valjean, and in 1996 he made his debut at the Vienna Opera House.
